Pre & Post Massage Advice
Pre-Massage
- Be hydrated to reduce pain.
- Wear loose clothing.
- Keep meals light before the massage. Massage tends to slow down the body, so eating a meal just before can result in feeling lethargic.
- Be prepared to be moved around, interact physically and to get “homework” to maintain the work performed.
Post-Massage
- Soreness is normal. After 48 hours, the swelling or tension should go down and you will feel like you have a new body!
- Don’t work out for 24 hours. Let your body figure out what’s just happened. Instead, take a warm bath.
